Beginning of Navratri

The ten day, nine night festival of Navratri, celebrated in honor of the Divine Mother, is about to begin.
The first day of Navratri is the ceremony of Ghatasthapana, the placement of the sacred vessel that represents Goddess Shakti, the Divine Energy. Earth and wheat seeds are placed in the vessel during the ceremony, which will sprout during the days of Navratri.

We meet at the Hindu Mandir and celebrate with pooja.
