Sri Satyanarayana Pooja
The Satyanarayan Pooja or Satyanarayan Vrat is a religious worship of Bhagwan Vishnu. Satya means “truth” and Narayana means, “The highest being” so Satyanarayan means “The highest being who is an embodiment of Truth”. Vrat means a religious vow, religious observance, or obligation.
Hindus perform Sri Satyanarayana Vrat for the divine blessings of health, wealth, prosperity, opulence, education; relief from troubles and sickness. It can also be performed for success in business or career growth; or during social functions like marriages, house-warming ceremonies, the naming of the children and so on.
The previous night, think of Lord Sri Satyanarayana and decide to take part of the pooja the next day. Invite your relatives and friends. Abstain from worldly pleasures. On the pooja day, keeping the same thoughts of worshiping the Lord, take a bath early in the morning. If performing in the evening, again take a bath. Wear a clean dress. Observe fast whole day and eat only the prasad of the pooja.
Looking forward to meeting you on the pooja!
